A Symbolic Phoenix

Andy Council leaves his mark in Northern Ireland with this large scale mural.

Andy used a boom lift to paint the Phoenix mural in the Cathedral Quarter of Belfast. Taking three days to complete, the commission from the council via Seedhead Arts was part of a scheme to add colour and draw people to the growing artistic area of the city. Andy's phoenix bird, standing strong and proud, is made up of Belfast landmarks and painted on an arcade front which was previously burnt out in an arson attack.
