Impact Your World

Marketforce in Western Australia commission Gail Armstrong to create a papersculpture illustration for Curtin University.

The student recruitment campaign for both press and web took a theme of 'Impact Your World'. Gail's brief was to create a globe to summarise all the areas of study that the university offer relating to Sustainable Development, and to convey their message -"We all have our values, interests, and abilities. But sometimes, we lack the skill, knowledge and experience required to transform these motivations into qualities that can truly affect communities. That’s why Curtin is dedicated to providing globally relevant qualifications in areas like sustainable development. So, whether it’s through a career in architecture, construction management, or planning, know that with Curtin, you can truly impact the world in which you live. Make Curtin your first preference.”  Gail says "I used a leaf and river to create a suggestion of the Yin & Yang symbol of harmony, and worked with a series of tableaus and stories within the image that incorporated the hit list they provided of items to be included, such as recycle logo, construction cranes, solar panels, etc."
