Sonia draws on inspiration from the past to create timeless, distinctive images. Her bold designs aim to grab a viewers attention whilst her emphasis on detail brings the viewer in.

A background in editorial work brings many years of experience in distilling complex ideas to visually simple solutions. She also enjoys adding a dash of theatricality to her images.

Still a fan of her trusty pencil on paper for roughs, most of her work is completed in acrylic on paper (or wood) which is then finished digitally, to bring about a richness in colour and detail whilst retaining a ‘human’ touch. She also enjoys incorporating collage elements and unusual textures.
