Anne has practiced illustration for over 15 years and has since completed an MA with a distinction in illustration at Central St Martins College of Art, London in 2005.

She enjoys investigating narrative, communicating ideas and themes through colourful collages and layers of pattern and texture. Her inspiration stems from her travels and the environments she is surrounded by. “Colour is so important. It is endless fun to explore and helps to keep a sense of playfulness in my work".

She constructs her images in layers, rolling out backgrounds with printing inks, onto which she combines more layers of stencils, intricately cut and mono printed papers, acrylic washes, painted details and drawing. Some of her images are refined further...
