Rowan Newton is a London-based contemporary artist specializing in bold figurative images. His urban style is inspired by the inner-city landscape in which he grew up. His characters are strongly influenced by music, fashion and advertising.
Rowan's figures are drawn on bright, blocked, dribbled, sprayed, splashes of colour that are both loud and unforgiving. All achieved by using spray paints and acrylics. He then covers these layers with his unique style of line drawing, using a paint pen often used by graffiti writers. Then a photo is taken and uploaded to Photoshop where a couple of minor tweeks take place.

His work has been described as 'pure image', that demands our attention.
