Maria Livings' background in Fine Art and printmaking is significant to her approach.
She often makes the separate elements of her drawings in black ink which are then scanned and collaged together in photoshop. Colour is added at this stage, often working in a separated or layered way as is appropriate when working with print.
Sometimes she draws in vectors using Adobe Illustrator which she enjoys because it feels like cutting with scissors.
