I excel in expressive line work. My goal is to portray an idea succinctly and elegantly, with vigorous yet graceful lines that owe much to illustrator greats like Arthur Rackham and Al Hirshfeld. With portraits, I work until I arrive at that “aha!” moment, when I feel I’ve nailed the likeness and essence of the subject.
I have experience in editorial, commercial, and children’s books. I work rapidly, with constant digital communication of ideas and images with the client, so we are always in sync and deadlines are never an issue. I work up all finals in Photoshop or Illustrator, and deliver them electronically.
