High Speed Internet

Kena Ravel works with Rogers Publishing on an lllustration showing high speed internet.

The client wanted a detailed transparent side view of a house, with an entire family of people all using different devices to accompany the article on 'Rogers High Speed Internet.' Kena has included teenage boys playing computer games in their bedroom, a teenage girl texting and the father reading on his tablet. She says "The challenges were first, to fit such a detailed piece into a 640 x 480 pixel dimension for best tablet viewing, and second to show a strong Internet connection throughout the house. So to add detail but avoid clutter, I chose tones of a single color for each room and its contents. And to show the strong internet connection, I created a bright red cable, as well as red Wi-Fi signs throughout the home and brought everything together under one Rogers-red roof...I think the result is a fun illustration that shows how much we depend on a good connection to the Internet in our daily lives for everything from learning to socializing."
