Jan Meininghaus

Born in the '70's, I spent my youth with comics, BMX Bikes and Arcade games as well as TV shows like the "Dukes of Hazzard" and Movies like "Cannonball Run" or "Star Wars". I began my illustration career at the age of 15 , designing gig posters and cover artworks for the bands of my hometown. From the beginning I quickly gained clients from youth culture related labels to blue chip brands aiming to reach a stylish and trendy audience. My illustrative style is influenced by urban subculture and fashion, music and movies. I work in various techniques but always focus on transferring the energetic style of car chase movies and rock´n roll in my work.
